California Aeronautical University grads cleared for takeoff with Compass Airlines

Compass Airlines Instructor Pathway Program offers extraordinary career opportunity for CAU graduates.

BAKERSFIELD, CA — Graduates of California Aeronautical University’s professional pilot programs have a clear pathway to a flight career with Compass Airlines.

During a recent visit to California Aeronautical University, Compass Airlines recruiters met with students and officially welcomed CAU graduates into the Compass Instructor Pathway Pilot Program. According to the Airline’s website, the Program “provides students with unmatched opportunities toward becoming one of Compass Airlines more than 700 professional pilots.”  Compass Airlines will visit the University once per quarter to interview CAU students.  Under this agreement, the students do not have to meet ATP minimums to interview.

“This is an excellent opportunity for our graduates,” said CAU President, Matthew Johnston. “As highly proficient aviators, we have no doubt our graduates will make great pilots for Compass Airlines.”

Thanks to a partnership between the University and Compass, any CAU student will be guaranteed an interview with Compass Airlines and be eligible for debt relief of up to $17,500.  Students who successfully complete the process will receive a conditional offer of employment from the Airline and will be assigned a date of hire and company ID.

California Aeronautical University has partnered with several regional airlines to create opportunities for their graduates upon completion of their professional pilot degree program. Strong and growing relationships between the University and important airline partners, like Compass Airlines, are critical to the success of CAU graduates entering the field.

California Aeronautical University is part of a school group founded back in 1888. From its unparalleled purpose-built flight training facility at Bakersfield International Airport, the University offers professional pilot degree programs at the associate’s degree and bachelor’s

degree levels as well as other aviation-related programs. The ACICS-accredited institution offers financial aid to those who qualify and job-placement assistance to all of its graduates. For information, visit calaero.com or call (661) 615-5915.
