Flexible, fast-track and FAA-approved, students can earn their professional pilot degree online with California Aeronautical University while receiving flight instruction from their local flight training affiliate.
With university strength and local convenience, students receive all the benefits of being a university student from their hometown. As an accredited university, CAU offers financial aid to those who qualify and graduates of the online professional pilot degree programs receive a 250-500 hour reduction in Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) requirements. The University has partnered with several regional airlines to create job opportunities for all of their pilot students, including those training at Flight Affiliates sites. These partnerships provide a direct pathway to airline cadet programs and may offer tuition reimbursement to eligible students.
Current programs offered at CAU’s Flight Affiliates include the online bachelor’s degree in aeronautics and online associate’s degree in aviation studies. Along with earning their professional pilot degree, students can also earn up to six certificates and ratings, including private pilot, instrument pilot, commercial pilot, multi-engine, certified flight instructor (CFI) and certified flight instructor instrument (CFII).
Flight Affiliate Highlights
Students can earn their associate’s degree in 2 years or their bachelor’s degree in approximately 3 years.
FAA Part 141 Approval
CAU and all of the flight affiliates are FAA Part 141 approved. Graduates benefit by a 250-500 flight-hour reduction when seeking their ATP certificate.
