WHERE CAREERS TAKE FLIGHT

In our aviation degree programs, you’ll learn flight fundamentals from CAU's instructors on our own fleet. We know you’re ready to fly. With CAU, you can enter fast-paced, structured year-round courses, meaning you can graduate in about three years.

As a student in degree programs at CAU, you’ll become proficient in the areas of understanding federal regulations, weather, aerodynamics, crew resource management principles, and various aviation topics including modern aircraft technology.

Along with earning an aviation degree, students also earn up to six certificates and ratings, including private pilot, instrument rated pilot, commercial pilot, certified flight instructor, and certified flight instructor instrument. These industry certifications can give you a wider range of employment options to choose from upon graduation.

AVIATION DEGREE PROGRAMS

B.S. AERONAUTICS

  • Bachelor's degree flight training program
  • Includes earning 6 certificates/ratings
  • Duration: 3 years (approximately)
  • 255 flight hours
  • 188 quarter credits
  • Eligible students receive a 500-hour reduction in FAA-mandated flight time for an air transport pilot (ATP)

The Bachelors in Aeronautics degree program is the most comprehensive pilot program at CAU. From day one, students begin developing fundamentally sound skills through standardized, fast-paced lessons. Students can begin flying in the first term and graduate in just over 3 years. Graduates of this program are guaranteed an interview for a flight instructor position and CAU and there are several direct pathways to airline cadet programs through the University's partnerships.

A.S. AVIATION STUDIES - FIXED WING

  • Associate's degree flight training program
  • Includes earning 4 certificates/ratings
  • Duration: 1.8 years(approximately)
  • 221 flight hours
  • 111 quarter credits
  • Eligible students receive a 250-hour reduction in FAA-mandated flight time for an air transport pilot (ATP)

The Associate's in Aviation Studies Fixed Wing program is ideal for those already holding an undergraduate degree. You'll learn the fundamentals of flight from experienced instructions and career building skills to enhance your employment potential.

MASTER OF AVIATION SCIENCE

  • Master's degree in Aviation Science
  • Duration: 1.5 years (approximately)
  • Graduate services
  • Flexible online courses

Students in the MAS program will complete technical aviation coursework that will include intensive analysis of airway transportation systems, airport operations, aerospace communication systems, aerospace logistics, aircraft simulation, advanced crew resource management procedures, and more.
