Class of 2024 Commencement Ceremony

We are excited to announce California Aeronautical University’s 2024 Graduation Ceremony.

 

Graduation Ceremony:

Date: Saturday, June 8, 2024, 9:00am
Location: CAU Hangar, 1450 Boughton Drive, Bakersfield, CA 93308

Graduation Schedule:

8:00 am	Graduates must arrive dressed in caps/gowns by this time
8:15 am	Graduating Class photo
8:30 am	Faculty photo
8:45 am	Graduates, Faculty, and Staff line up for Processional
9:00 am	Ceremony

 

The ceremony will last between 1 and 1.5 hours. There is no guest limit, but we will request that graduates let us know how many guests they are bringing for planning purposes. Dress code is semi-formal.

Caps and Gowns

Caps and gowns are scheduled to arrive the week of 5/22, with a projected delivery date of 5/24. Caps and gowns will arrive for pick-up either at Raschel Grant's office in Bakersfield or at the FTC’s. Don’t forget to take your cap and gown out of its packaging beforehand! It will be creased if you try to wear it right out of the box. Steamers work really well for getting those wrinkles out.

Livestream

We will be streaming the ceremony live on YouTube and our website (https://calaero.edu/life-at-calaero/graduation/) so those who cannot make it can still watch virtually!

Grad Photos

We are working with a graduation photographer to get some photos taken the day of graduation, such as candid shots and group photos. If you want to schedule your graduation portraits with them, feel free to check out the link below containing package information. As a note, the graduation photographer is independent from CAU and all associated costs are determined as such for their services. Please contact the photographer directly if you are interested in scheduling portraits.
