As a family-friendly, entertainment, and educational event, the California International Airshow in Salinas has been showcasing aviation excellence for the last 40 years. The USAF Thunderbirds will headline the Salinas airshow, the Air Force’s demonstration fighter jet team that will display the pride, precision, power, and professionalism the USAF represents. CAU’s aviation partner Vicky Benzing will also be performing. The University’s outreach team will appear together with Vicky at the airshow. With their new interactive trailer, the University will provide the opportunity for aspiring aviators to learn about CAU and how they can reach their pilot goals.

California Aeronautical University and United Airlines proudly announce their new partnership to help provide eligible current and former CAU students and instructors a direct pathway to the United flight deck. The partnership will be celebrated at a launch event where United representatives will discuss Aviate, the airline’s pilot career development program, and provide network opportunities, including a lunch mixer.

Representatives from CAU’s airline partner, GoJet Airlines, will be visiting the CAU Bakersfield campus for recruitment and networking opportunities. The GoJet recruiters will be giving presentations to CAU pilot and maintenance students about the pathways available to them to start a career with the airline. This event is open to CAU students only.

California Aeronautical University is excited to be hosting the upcoming NIFA SAFECON Region 2 regional competition this fall. CAU’s own Flight Team will join Embry Riddle, Cal Baptist, San Jose State, and others in a series of flight and ground events.

SkyWest pilot and aircraft maintenance recruiting will be visiting the CAU Bakersfield campus on Friday, October 27th. After presentations to both classes, the recruitment team will deliver a pilot workshop on the topic of turbine engines, and complex systems. Lunch will be provided, and students can network and have more Q&A time with SkyWest recruiters. This event is open to CAU students only.
