We'd Love To Show You What CAU Is All About!

Why FAA Part 141 Approval Matters

There is much excitement around getting FAA Part 141 approval for CAU Phoenix, but why? What is it all about — and what does it mean for you?

In order to receive this approval, CAU had to meet strict regulations which signify that our university has a structured flight training curriculum, training facility, and flight instructors. Students can count on receiving high-quality instruction at every turn.

How FAA Part 141 benefits our students:

Fixed-wing pilot students without a bachelor’s degree generally need 1,500 flight hours and must be at least 23 years old to be eligible for an airline transport pilot (ATP) certificate. However, thanks to Part 141 approval, eligible CAU graduates can qualify for a restricted ATP (R-ATP) with only 1,000 flight hours and a lower age of 21 years old.

As a result, CAU graduates can move forward with their aviation careers much sooner.
