Graduates begin opportunities with SkyWest Airlines, Northrop Grumman, more
California Aeronautical University will proudly host a graduation ceremony to honor its distinguished Class of 2024 on Saturday, June 8, 2024. The event, held at the University campus on Meadows Field Airport at 9 am, will commemorate the hard work and dedication of these students as they prepare to embark on their exciting careers in the aviation industry.
The graduating class includes future airline pilots, airframe and powerplant (A&P) technicians, and aviation business professionals, many of whom have already lined up opportunities with airlines and other organizations, including Delta Propel, United Aviate, SkyWest Airlines, and Northrop Grumman.
“Graduation is a momentous occasion that marks the beginning of a new chapter for our students,” said Matthew Johnston, President of California Aeronautical University. “We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2024 and their remarkable achievements. Their dedication and perseverance have prepared them for bright futures in the aviation industry, and we are excited to see the impact they will make.”
Robert H. Strickland, Senior Manager of Human Factors and Pilot Development at United Airlines, will address the graduating class as the 2024 keynote speaker.
As a former boxer, Air Force Academy graduate, and proponent of ‘psychological safety,’ his work at United is focused on ensuring pilots are not only skillfully ready, but mentally ready to transport thousands of lives each year. His invaluable work aims to put humanity back into the cockpit.
The University will confer diplomas in the programs of Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics, Associate of Science in Aviation Maintenance Technology, Aviation Maintenance Technology, Bachelor of Science in Aviation Business Administration, and Master of Aviation Science.
