To honor our veterans and those actively serving our nation, California Aeronautical University (CAU) in Arizona is proud to announce it recently received VA approval from the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a VA-approved school, the University can now accept VA educational benefits, such as the Post-9/11 GI Bill®.
Providing funds for tuition and fees, housing, books, and supplies, VA educational benefits can dramatically help qualified students pay for college, graduate school or training programs – including the aviation degree programs at CAU.
In addition to accepting VA educational funds, California Aeronautical University also proudly participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program to help further cover the cost of eligible students’ education. The Yellow Ribbon Program has the potential to cover up to $6,000 yearly for tuition and fees on top of the maximum Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits.
Understanding the barriers and challenges presented to many pursuing a career as a professional pilot, CAU hopes its VA approval can help service members turn their military experience and skills into a fulfilling career in the aviation industry.
“At California Aeronautical University, we’re thankful for the service and sacrifice our service members have provided to our country,” says Matthew Johnston, President of California Aeronautical University. “We’re hopeful that our VA approval can help turn dreams of becoming an aviation professional into reality for this deserving population.”
California Aeronautical University’s Arizona campus is located at Falcon Field Airport in Mesa. The University offers aviation-related degree programs, including a bachelor’s degree in aeronautics designed for those seeking a career as a professional pilot.
Applications are being accepted for its next class. For more information, visit calaero.edu/Arizona.
