Kicking off another season of family-friendly baseball, the Bakersfield Train Robbers announced they will return to the field and begin regular season play on Thursday, May 26th. They’ll open their 2022 season, hosting the Wasco Reserve at 7:45 pm.
To commemorate opening day, California Aeronautical University (CAU) will conduct a flyover over the ballpark before the start of the game. CAU’s flyover will include aircraft from its fleet based at its flight training university at Meadows Field Airport.
A representative from CAU will also launch the season by throwing the first pitch of the game.
2022 will mark the 5th season of Train Robber Baseball at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark. The season will include 50 games, 28 of which will be played at home. All Train Robbers home games will be played at Sam Lynn Ballpark. Tickets for opening game can be purchased at bakersfieldtrainrobbers.com.
